Novia Kossow is a licensed acupuncturist and practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She earned her Masters of science degree in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine, along with a BS in nutrition in 2012. In 2009 Novia graduated from the University of Whitewater Wisconsin with a bachelor of science degree in biology, with an emphases in chemistry. She was able develop her skills with over three years of experience working with Traditional Chinese Medical Doctors, giving her advanced knowledge in and a deeper understanding of the Chinese medical approach as a whole.
Novia has spent years researching the practice of pain management and addiction recovery. Along with pain management and addiction recovery, she also has special focus in women and children’s health. Novia also uses acupuncture to treat a variety of other conditions, including muscular-skeletal conditions, allergies, digestive complaints, and emotional imbalances. Bringing the body back into balance so that it can heal itself is her main goal for all her patients.
She has coordinated care for patients, in a clinical setting, by collaborating with medical doctors, nurse practitioners, chiropractors, massage therapists, physical therapists and personal trainers, giving her patients the best care possible. She is driven by practicing in a collaborative environment with health care practitioners of varying modalities, and her patients benefit from a well-rounded and patient centered focus on health and wellness.
